Locks Heath will edge closer to the Hampshire Premier League title if they can defeat AFC Aldermaston this weekend and extend their 22 point lead at the top of the table.
The league leaders have excelled this season scoring more than 100 goals as they look a cut above the rest of the pack.
Locks Heath beat Fleetlands 3-1 on Easter Monday and the league’s high flyers lie 22 points clear of their nearest challengers AFC Stoneham and 27 points clear of Colden Common, although those sides have six and eight games in hand respectively.
But with only four more league games after this weekend for Locks Heath they just need to keep their nerve a little longer to be sure of the title.
AFC Aldermaston lie in fifth place and their recent form has seen them win four of their last six matches and are very much in the mix for a top four finish.
The last time these two met, Locks Heath edged to a 2-1 win way back in September.
The match between Locks Heath and AFC Aldermaston is on Saturday April 6. Kick off is at 3pm at Locks Heath Recreational Ground.
